Agriturismo Chioso di Sotto was born in the heart of Moscazzano from the renovation of a farm from the early 1800s. The Bertesago family, who’s been living there since 1958, bought it in 1985.
The Bertesago family has worked for generations in the field of agriculture and over the years has diversified its activities: cereal processing, cattle and pig farming, renewable energy.
Now a new challenge: a bed and breakfast connected to the farm. The project is very wide and still in progress: eight wonderful rooms, obtained from an old barn once used for cows and later as a cereal store, are ready.
Breakfast, consisting of local products and homemade pastries, is served in what was once the milking room of the farm.
Next to the lodgings, a silo, which could be found in our logo, has been recovered and will become a welcome room for our guests as well as the tasting room for the company’s products.
Close to the silo, the project includes the renovation of another building: the ground floor, formerly a stable for calves, will become a store where company’s products will be sold. it will also be used for our guests’ breakfast; the first floor, once used as a barn, will be used as a room for events and possibly, in the future, will become a small restaurant.
In 2017 another porch was renovated to create a laboratory for the production of salami using pigs from our farm. Other products such as jams, sauces, cheese and yoghurt will be made there.
We have 8 rooms with wooden roof distributed on two floors: on the ground floor, rooms have an area of about 25 square meters. On the first floor, rooms have an area of about 21 square meters and have an independent balcony with table and chairs.
All rooms are equipped with a double bed. In five of our rooms a third bed can be added. Two rooms on the ground floor have a bathroom for disabled people.
The accommodations are equipped with every comfort: large bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, mini-bar and a kettle for tea.
Wifi network is free and available in every room. Breakfast with local products such as cheese and cold cuts as well as homemade pastries is always included.
